Official Cataclysm Release Date Set By Blizzard!!

It’s official for all those of us who have been left in the dark wondering when we would get to finally travel the lands of Azeroth after the Cataclysm; Blizzard has finally given us a release date. That date is 12-07-10. As released directly by the developers in the latest edition of Blizzard Insider.

The long wait is almost over and for those that have not had a chance to see the changes first hand; I think you will be pleasantly surprised. With complete remodeling to many of the old world zones and new zones to journey through, there is plenty to keep you busy for a while. There are several new dungeons that will test your skills, new armor ratings and a complete rework of the talent trees for every class.

We are all going to have to learn how to really play our characters as the changes to the talent trees and the removal of many attributes that we are used to our armor having are going to make everyone work harder to stay alive. I personally am looking forward to the challenge.

Whether you are Alliance or Horde the changes will make game play far more enjoyable for all. Remember to gear up, stockpile gold and crafting materials as you are sure to need them when you get to the new zones. Release are scheduled for Midnight all across the country, if you have not reserved your copy of Cataclysm yet, what are you waiting for?  See you all on the 7th!!!

Cataclysm: Even More Goodies!

The list of “Mounts and/or Pets NightSkye wants for Cataclysm” is just getting longer and longer!  Thanks to MMO-Champion for these next few goodies I want to talk about.  There are two achievements players will be able to get in Cataclysm that give very nice dragon mounts:

• Glory of the Cataclysm Raider
• Glory of the Cataclysm Hero

If you are going for the Glory of the Cataclysm Raider you will be able to receive the Reins of the Drake of the East Wind.  This achievement requires the player to “Complete every Cataclysm Raid achievement and at least 4 protodrakes of various flavors.”  This still shows up as a Work in Progress so I am not 100% if this will be the final achievement.  Make sure to check out the video!  All I can say is that if having 4 different kinds of proto drakes is required then I am in trouble.  If you haven’t been able to tell from my many posts – I have rotten luck.  I don’t have the blue proto, I don’t have the green proto (even though I’ve been doing it since 2 weeks after Wrath came out and I STILL don’t have one), my guild at the time couldn’t do the Ulduar proto’s or the Naxx protos (not sure if current guild would bother now to do  them), and then that just leaves the Time Lost Proto and….we won’t talk about how many times I’ve logged in to see it killed…. *grumbles* … Continue Reading

Cataclysm: Goodies!

The Dark Phoenix Mount has been given animations now and all I can say is that I want one so so badly!  You can bet that I will be pulling my weight doing whatever is needed for this mount to be available.  Check out the animations video here.

Archaeology has been updated and it seems the baby skeletal raptor and the skeletal raptor mount seem to be pretty good contenders for rewards.  Exactly how to get these little gems isn’t known (as in if they are ‘found’, purchased, reputation grinds, or quest lines) but I’ll keep you updated.  Please not that information regarding the pet and mount are not confirmed just your favorite Huntress’ opinion.  There is a bit of information released about it from MMO-Champion (make sure you scroll down to check out known spells for this profession as well): … Continue Reading
