i been farming this bear for more than 48+ hours or so i was up from 10am-3am of the following day and still no sign of him .. WTF is going ON!!!! ….. i haven’t left this spot for 4 days, yes! literally 4 days.. i think is going to be 72 hours and no sign of him at all, i had a friend go with me to check it out the area and nothing either. Npc has showed that he hasn’t been killed, caught or saved..

I thought i would drop in and share my weird Arcturis experience.

Two days ago I started thinking about finding me a spirit beast. I made some research about Arcturis approximate spawn location and went there. With npc-scan installed I hovered the spawn location while watching tv. Suddenly the alarm goes off at 7,30 pm and I rush to the computer, desperately starting to look for him but without finding Arcturis anywhere. Above me I see 3 other players leaving Amberpine lodge with gryphons in the direction of Dalaran, one of them a hunter. I start checking for a more exact spawn description and find this excellent post. I now understand why I couldn’t see Arcturis because I was facing away from him at start and while looking for him I slowly circled away from the spawn point. The hunter that I saw flying away from there must have did his research way better than I did. Anyway, I fly over his spawn location a couple of times with my npc-scan reset without picking him up so I realize I missed the opportunity and curse myself for not putting enough effort into it and I started to understand how difficult it will be to compete with others to get Arcturis tamed

Now to the weird noobish part. This hunter is one of my alts and I haven’t much experience with him. 2 hours after my “almost” Arcturis encounter I decide to fly over Zul’Drak to see what Gondria’s different spawn locations looks like. No Gondria to be found anywhere as expected I’m thinking “well that’s it for today, better luck next time”. I’m turning to fly back to Amberpine to rest at the Inn and when I’m almost there the alarm goes off again, now at 9,35pm. Npc-scan is showing the picture of Arcturis and I’m thinking, how is this even possible when only approximately 2 hours gone since his last spawn . I head straight to the spawn point and sure, there he is. I drop the trap and hit the tame button without anything happening. I suddenly realize that I don’t have high enough level to tame Arcturis with me being at the end of lvl 73 and Arcturis being lvl 74. I once more curse my lack of research and lack of hunter knowledge. With 125k experience to go I rush out on a killingspree mixing in every archeology digsite around in a vain attempt to reach lvl 74 as soon as possible. I quickly realize that this is taking too long but I figured I might as well continue to get to lvl 74 so I’ll be ready for next spawn. After I hit lvl 74 I flew back to Amperpine and to my big surprise Arcturis was still walking the slopes below. I once more drop the trap, backs off to far while shaking and pressing the tame button. Arcturis roars and leaps elegantly over my trap and almost kills me before I manage to get him tamed. With only just above 300 hp still left I’m standing there humbled to the fact that I despite my total lack of skill and knowledge got him tamed this easily.

How this was even possible with the spawn rate being as it is with Arcturis I have no clue but I’m just happy .

Lots of fun?
No im sorry archeology is without a doubt the most boaring proffesion/skill ingame.
Im at 255 solved troll common 10silver shite drops now over 200+ solved from 525 skill. And nothing just alot of wasted time to show for it.
To make matters even worse i have to digg fosil diggsites all the time. Fosil that gives me absolutly nothing after ive gotten the mount / pet so it is the waste of the waste of time.
It is utterly unbearable to have to digg up that to make new troll diggsites appear.

I’m on the Jubei’Thos server, and I’ve been camping Arcturis for 8-9 hours so far. a guy in my guild tamed him at 9-10 this morning, so that makes it almost 12 hours between spawn time. I was camping Loque’nahak with a friend, and after spamming general for hours (and after taming King Krush) a guy told me that he had killed it an hour ago, and didn’t even ask if anyone wanted to tame it, so I moved on. I went to Zul’Drak in search of Gondria, but after spotting several Worgen hunters in the area I decided I wanted Arct. So I went to Dal, stabled one of my pets, and started flying to Grizzly Hills. On my way I thought I’d take a quick de-tour over Gondrias spawn points, and lone-behold my screen started flashing and NPCscan went off, and Gondria was right beneath me! I tamed and a priest landed next to me to congratulate. So I had Gondria, and I set off to Grizzly Hills. For the entire time I’ve been here, I’ve had no competition. Even though my server is one of the most populated. Only hunters who are 73 that obviously cant tame Arct that were killing bears near-by. I gotta say today’s been pretty sweet.
I just wish that the achievement ass didn’t kill my Loque, after 2 days camping

GOT HIM
Friend told me that he got him @ 0415hrs
So I was not going to take any changes
I said I will get him today or QUIT being a HUNTER (never)
@ 1820hrs he came and I got him
I must have seen like 40 hunters during my camp
I was there since 8am on and off for 1hr q 2hrs
and then for 4hrs straight after 3pm NY TIME

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amora – Madoran server. Just tamed @ 1:25PM CST. Camped for 14.5h the day before, and about 5 hours today…. alarm scared the shit out of me when it went off….

So… been camping this beauty for about 3 days now.. got about 15 hrs of sleep in 3 days.. so YES im frustrated:D! Been up every day at 9am till about 4 am.. and still havent seen him ONCE.. please let him come soon so ill be able to get in my comfy bed!:X hmm I rly want this guy for personal reasons.. (pet died.. were alot of stars and full moon during that sad night and arcturis means biggest star in the sky)
I can’t belive i have been camping for 3 full days/nights now.. but all for that reason i rly want this guy.. ohwell well see what this night has in store for me:).

BTW, he got a shared spawn with the other rares?:O
