Cataclysm: Guild Vendors, NPCs, Loading Screens, and More

Do I have good news (all news in this post was found here)  for those who collect mounts and pets!  The Dark Phoenix Mount has been released as to how it can be obtained – the Guild Reward System aka the Guild Vendor.  It’s not known at what level you and your guild need to be at to access this beautiful armored flying bird but all I can say is how happy I am.  The same goes for the two new guild pets – the Snail and Dark Baby Phoenix.  There are more items being released as you can see from the image below, they might be subject to change, and no information on the required guild levels needed to purchase either.  It’s still wonderful to look at.  The image below shows what seems to me the ‘Alliance’ side of the vendor since they get a Lion Mount – makes me wonder what the ‘Horde’ version will be for their mount.  Thanks to my partner for finding me this image (image 2) for the ‘Horde’ versions and it’s the Thunderlizard Mount for us!

Thrall has a new NPC model and I have to admit I miss seeing my glorious Faction Leader but taking out his new ‘position’ I suppose the new outfit fits – makes me sad to be honest but hopefully more information about ‘why’ things are the way they are will be revealed.

There are also new loading screens for entering each of the zones: Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland, and Northrend.  I am enjoying the new artwork (Garrosh actually looks good compared to his NPC model) and I am oh so curious about the ‘New Lich King’.

More fun to talk about is that you will be able to purchase the flying 310% speed for 5000 gold.  I’m not sure if it will stay this price or change but if you already have a 310% mount then you don’t have to purchase the skill from the vendor, you already have it for free, and by free I mean you worked for it instead of paying.  So start saving your gold or push harder to get your 310% flying mount!

Mounts and Companions will now be located in your spellbook with a new snazzy interface.  Again, yours truly likes!

Happy Hunting!
