Cataclysm: Reforging, Ysera, Spell Changes, and a Baby Deathwing?

More information has been released about Reforging in Beta Build 12694 (if you want to see all of the notes for the newest build make sure you check this out – scroll down)!  You will have the ability to take 40% of one of your secondary stats and switch for another secondary stat.  I am getting excited about this!  In the following images it shows Reforging Haste to Hit on a pair of shoulders.

I love the Dragon Aspects in every sense from Lore to how they look.  The Lifebinder being my most favorite in looks and her history but it seems that coming close is the new model of Ysera, the Protector of the Dream.  First image is what she looks like now in Wrath of the Lich King and the following two images after that is her new model.  I think she’s very good looking and if Blizzard is willing to put this much detail into new models I hope that they redo all of ‘the old models’ as well for Cataclysm.  *cough*Tauren*cough* I think a revamp of mount models would be a good idea as well.

With the new Beta Build being released new Spell Changes have also been released – make sure you check it out if that’s your thing but if it’s not then you need to check it out anyway so you can know if you’re nerfed or not hehe.

Oh and I just came across this little gem on Warcraft Mounts:

“Look what greeted me when I logged into the Cataclysm beta after the latest patch!  The model is a placeholder, obviously, but I considering that this guy was standing in front of a ‘Guild Services” sign, I’m going to make a guess that one of those guild rewards Blizzard has mentioned is going to be a thunder lizard mount ….” -Warcraftmounts.com

I think I’d like a Thunder Lizard Mount but not one looking like that – perhaps one that looks a bit more ferocious – don’t you agree?

Cataclysm: Achievement Unlocked!

As the release date for Cataclysm approaches, many people – including myself – are drifting away from the usual raid and dailies grind and focusing on achievements.  With the complete restructuring of Azeroth, one prevailing school of thought is that some of the more time-consuming achievements will be disappearing, and with them their titles.  (Loremaster, anyone?)

The new zone Uldum is up for preview and while it’s not finished this video by TotalBiscuit gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect.  I am really liking this zone the more and more I see it!  Especially the Tol’vir people that reside in Uldum!  The Tol’vir were stone-like creatures that were created by the Titanns while the Ramkahens, who are descendant of the Tol’vir that lost their “stone” forms, also reside there.  I wish they were a playable race or that we could have a little version running around as a vanity pet – they are so amazing!  Think it could be a Collectors Edition pet? *hints at Blizzard*  Also, check out the images of  Uldum here thanks to MMO-champion.

There are other variations of these models about Uldum but I can’t to see if there are more than what’s shown here.

Stormwind Stockades

The Stormwind Stockades got a revamp! It will now have 3 wings to it:

• The “Human” wing is the first wing upon entering the instance with the end boss being Randolph Moloch.
• The “Elemental” wing can be found when you go down the stairs on the right with it’s end boss being Lord Overheat.
• The “Gnoll” wing is on the opposite side when you go down the stairs on the left with it’s final boss being Hogger.

This “new” dungeon will have quests available upon entering and will be able to be completed as well through the Dungeon Finder.  I can’t wait to take on the legendary Hogger and like they say in our guild -” Everyone has their own Hogger Experience, are you willing to share yours?”

Elemental Models for Cataclysm

New models of Elementals for Cataclysm have been released as well.  They are amazing to look at!  The first 3 and last elemental are known as Bound due to their armor while as the 4th elemental is known as Unbound (it is the Unbound Air Elemeantal while it’s Bound version is right next to it).  I really like these models because they are so detailed and maybe it’s just me but has anyone else noticed that with Cataclysm Blizzard is putting more details into their models?  If this is the pattern I say keep it up!
