PvP Bible

I’ve already recommended my top gold and leveling guides, but I wanted to take a moment and point out a PvP guide that I have read through a couple of times. It’s called PvP Bible and it provides an interesting array of information about PvP aspects of the game.

What does that mean? Generally, it covers the basics of how PvP works, how to create a team, the ins and outs of arena plan, and strategies for each battleground. It has its strong points and weak points, but on the whole, this massive tome is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in getting into PvP.

What You’re Getting

To start with, I have to point out the one-on-one strategies. Covering every combination of class-vs-class in the game (all 100 of them), this section gives a careful breakdown of what to do every step of the way. You’ll learn how to combat each of your opponents, how to break down their attacks, and how to respond to last minute gambits.

The battleground section is similarly loaded with strategies, including detailed walkthroughs in at least 2-3 different methods for each battleground, including the newest additions like Isle of Conquest.

I will admit that I was a bit taken aback that the arena strategy section isn’t more detailed, but I can understand why not. That’s a topic that takes a lot of time to get right and then three weeks later it changes completely.

You do get a basic run through of every team size and type and a breakdown of how your opponents will target you based on your team makeup.

The Bottom Line

If you’re new to PvP and need a primer to get you started, this is the ultimate guide. At more than 300 pages and loaded with specific strategies, it’s packed to the brim with info you need to get started. If you’re a pro with a 2000+ rating, don’t expect the world here. It’s better suited to newcomers and intermediate players.
